I have seen a couple of articles recently on the so-called simplicity of making money via stock photo agencies. These articles lure you in with riches that you can acquire simply by submitting your amateur photos. Then they go on to say that you need to shoot hundreds of photos per month, need expensive equipment, need to learn certain keywords, etc., etc. What really annoys me is when they say that you need to be creative and take good photos AND need to know how to edit your photos in Photoshop or some other difficult software (which can take eons to learn). If you can do all the above, you are a highly talented photographer who should be a professional. For more of this subject, see my monthly Photography column at www.ajijiccityguide.com.
